Petticoat Lane’s edition of the Young Traders Market will showcase the very best that these young professionals have to offer.
The market, which will be open from 9:00am to 3:00pm, will also give the young traders involved the opportunity to enter a competition with national reach – adding a whole new level to “Hey! I knew them before they got popular!”.
Young Traders Market is brought to Petticoat Lane by Aldgate Connect BID and Tower Hamlets Council, in support of the National Market Traders Federation Young Traders Market of The Year. The Petticoat Lane Young Traders Market is part of a national programme which aims to encourage young entrepreneurs to take up a career in market trading.
The Young Traders Markets offering ranges from food and beverage, to crafts, illustrations, jewellery and artisanal groceries, showcasing the full talents of the many young entrepreneurs across the nation.
These passionate young people are learning valuable business skills while breathing fresh life into our famous historic market.
But Petticoat Lane’s edition of the Young Traders Market will just be the beginning for the businesses involved – from there, several finalists will be selected and offered the opportunity to trade at one of the ten Young Traders Markets Regional Finals. The young traders will be assessed on their trading skills, and winners will go on to compete at the regional final taking place this year at Broadway Market in Hackney on Sunday 13th July.
