Showpiece garments made from fabrics sourced on Wentworth Street were designed, made, and photographed by London Metropolitan University BA Fashion and Fashion Photography students.

The photographs are to appear in a mural in 2024 on Middlesex Street, as part of the Devonshire Square complex renovation.

In 2022 the garments were presented at two events in Aldgate: a catwalk and a salon event at the university. Friends, family, shopkeepers, and other community members were invited to view the garments made from locally sourced fabric at an event sponsored by the Tower Hamlets High Streets and Heritage Action Zone funds.

In 2023 the eight shortlisted garments and their photographs were presented at the site of the mural, in the Devonshire Square complex. Lunchtime photography workshops accompanied the exhibition, where passers-by were invited to be photographed with Wentworth Street fabrics as their backdrop.

Petticoat Lane Digital

Petticoat Lane Digital was a collaborative project between Aldgate Connect BID and the local authorities, stakeholders, businesses, and community to provide a digital presence for the area of Petticoat Lane.

Petticoat Lane Dining Quarter

As a response to the pandemic, Aldgate Connect BID supported the collective of restaurants at the south of Middlesex Street through the implementation of an outdoor dining area in the cul-de-sac end of the road.
