Ongoing – Project Started In 2021

London Metropolitan University Fashion students worked with Fashion Photography students to showcase fabrics bought on Wentworth Street.

Fourteen Fashion students used local materials including African wax fabrics to design and make showpiece garments. Their pieces were then styled and photographed by Fashion Photography students.

Four winning pairs were selected in 2022 to have their images displayed at a permanent mural on Middlesex Street, as part of Tower Hamlet’s Petticoat Lane Art Trail.

The project was sponsored by Devonshire Square and curated by AAD Projects and Acrylicize. The mural will be presented in 2024, on completion of the renovation works.

Petticoat Lane Digital

Petticoat Lane Digital was a collaborative project between Aldgate Connect BID and the local authorities, stakeholders, businesses, and community to provide a digital presence for the area of Petticoat Lane.

Petticoat Lane Dining Quarter

As a response to the pandemic, Aldgate Connect BID supported the collective of restaurants at the south of Middlesex Street through the implementation of an outdoor dining area in the cul-de-sac end of the road.
